This shell’s 1-1/4 ounce charge of shot makes it a little too much for trap or sporting clays, but those extra pellets are going to form just the pattern you want for snaring quail and other like-sized birds.

This shell’s #7.5 lead shot pellets are exactly what we like to see in a general purpose upland game load. The round’s 1,220 fps muzzle velocity provides a flat trajectory and plenty of punch on impact, but won’t bowl you over with felt recoil. Federal keeps their shell’s pattern extra efficient by casting hard and uniformly spherical shot pellets, as well as loading it with a premium one-piece wad.
