We don’t know if it was Federal Premium that asked Rob Roberts for help designing this ammo, or if it was the other way around. Either way, we’re glad the two put their heads together. That union of noggins produced excellent 12 Gauge magnum duck ammo, and the absolute best pick for a shotgun with one of Rob Robert Custom Gun Works’ Raptor chokes. If you’ve got an RR2, then this is the ammo 4U!

This is a steel load, as you’ve probably already read multiple times. The ducks will thank you for making an environmentally conscientious choice. They won’t thank you for firing 1-3/8 ounces of tightly patterned, fast-moving #3 steel shot at them, though. The shot pellets’ peak quality and blistering 1,400 fps muzzle velocity both do their parts to promote the hardest-hitting of strings.

Federal is one of the biggest names in ammo – especially shotgun ammo. They load dependable primers and clean-lighting powder with care, and chose a color for this ammo’s hulls that might just not exist in nature. Easy to see if you drop ‘em!
