This 12 Gauge shotshell from Federal’s Prairie Storm line of ammunition is one of the last words in pheasant hunting. It’s loaded with two distinct types of #5 lead shot for versatile performance that’s certain to ground hearty birds fast. Seventy percent of the shot is plated in copper, so it is able to resist deformation brilliantly in order to promote straight flight. The remainder is comprised of FliteStopper pellets. These sport sharp cutting edges around their middles so that they can better shred through plumage and create wider and deadlier wound channels. Your bird won’t know what hit him!This powerful bird buster also features Federal’s FliteControl wad, which brakes at the rear to promote a dense and consistent pattern. This shell’s propellant is specially formulated to burn clean and produce a very fast 1,500 fps muzzle velocity. You won’t have to lead quite as much with your aim with that kind of speed on your side, giving you a much needed edge while you’re out taking care of business in the field.
