Federal Prairie Storm FS Lead is the one-two combo that pins pheasant down easy peasy! This Minnesota-made 20 Gauge hunting ammo wallops upland game with 1-1/4 ounces of two different types of #6 shot!The majority of this shell’s shot (70%) is perfectly spherical and copper-plated. The pellets’ hard shells safeguard them against becoming too deformed to deliver a tight pattern. The remainder of this shell’s shot is more interesting. They’re Federal’s signature FliteStopper pellets, which are oblong-shaped and have sharp rings around their centers. Its ring lets the FliteStopper inflict greater damage to its target.
This shell’s shot pellets are cradled by the FliteStopper Flex wad, which erects six fins around its base during ignition. The petals create a tight gas seal that promotes more consistent ballistics, and also create drag following expulsion that helps the wad smoothly break away from the shot. That’s how the FliteStopper Flex assures tighter patterning!
