This is High Over All ammo by Federal Premium of Minnesota. Each shell is loaded with a lighter 1 ounce column of shot, and charged up with enough powder to deliver a relatively tepid muzzle velocity of 1,200 fps. Recoil impulse is smoothed out even further by the Podium wad: a one-piece plastic construct with a vertical ring in its center that squashes down during ignition.

The Podium also helps the #7.5 shot stay rounder, but the pellets don’t need that much help in that regard. The little lead beads are fortified with 5% antimony, which hardens them without robbing them of too much density and downrange momentum as a result.

This ammo’s hulls aren’t just good for handloading. They are great for handloading thanks to their ready compatibility with a wide range of wads and malleable solid brass heads.
