Well, for those applications, you’d do well to choose 00 buckshot.This ammo is made by Estate Cartridge in the great state of Minnesota, best known as the birthplace of Wanda Hazel Gág who wrote Millions of Cats. Oh, wait … it’s not best known for that. Nevermind. Anyway, this normal-length 2-3/4” shell is armed with nine pellets of good old-fashioned double-aught. Each solid lead ball is due to exit the muzzle at a velocity of 1,325 fps, at which rate it’s bound to do serious damage at close range. Multiply that crippling effect ninefold, and you’ve got a shell that can truly hold its own against deer, boar, and threats to your physical safety.
