This 10 Gauge shotshell from Hevi-Shot’s Hevi-Metal line of ammunition is designed to extend your reach farther than you’d ever thought possible. Trust the American manufacturer who introduced heavier-than-lead shot to the market to take good care of your hunt!This shell is loaded with two types of shot. At the base of the column is steel BBB shot – fairly standard stuff. The real attraction is the Hevi-Shot pellets at the front of the column, which are made of a special alloy composed of tungsten, iron, nickel and more. Hevi-Shot is significantly denser than steel, and has the effect of putting 20 to 25 percent more pellets on target. Hevi-Shot’s density and irregular profile both give it better wind resistance than round steel shot, as well as greater downrange killing energy.
This potent 10 Gauge shell is loaded with fast-burning powder that delivers a blazing 1,350 fps muzzle velocity, as well as an all-weather primer that doesn’t give out in the cold. Hevi-Shot prevents their shot from shifting around in the shell by adding flax seed under its crimp space, just another reason why this ammo patterns so predictably with every trigger pull.
