This is a small shotshell: 2-1/2” long, and accordingly loaded with a modest 1/2 ounce shot column. The shell’s 113 #6 shot pellets are consistently sized and made of hard lead, which are the two qualities shot must possess in order to pattern efficiently. The rigid, deep-penetrating shot pellets are braced by a full-length one-piece wad, which is hinged to prevent shot deformation and soften the recoil produced upon ignition.
