These rounds are American made using Winchesters own 209 primers which are inspected and tested for reliable ignition in extremely hot and cold temperatures. Other components include high strength hulls for reloading, premium grade powder, and Winchester's unique AA wad.

AA wads are built with an overpowder section that makes the most efficient use of propellant gases in order to produce optimum velocity. In addition, these wads are designed to cushion recoil for the shooter while maintaining the shot in a cup for improved patterning and increased distance. The 7/8 ounces of #9 lead shot is hardened to resist deformation, reduce the chance of fliers, and achieve more positive breaks on clay pigeons.
