250rds – 20 Gauge Federal Upland Steel 2-3/4" 3/4oz. #7.5 Shot Ammo

250rds – 20 Gauge Federal Upland Steel 2-3/4" 3/4oz. #7.5 Shot Ammo Details

Just because you’re not hunting ducks and geese doesn’t mean you want to use lead shot. Many hunters would rather avoid contaminating the ground water wherever they go (especially if they’re blessed with enough of their own land to hunt on). Others wouldn’t like to eat morsels that have been tainted by heavy metal, while others still hunt in places where lead projectiles have been banned outright. Whatever your reason for hunting with steel shot might be, you’ll find Federal’s Upland Steel line of ammunition a great choice for your upcoming adventures!

This 20 Gauge shotshell is loaded with #7.5 steel shot. Rabbit and quail hunters both favor that shot size for its tendency to kill without making the trophy unpresentable (or unrecognizable). It delivers a great spread at 35 to 50 yards, especially with Federal’s even patterning wad at work. Steel’s main shortcoming is that it’s only two thirds as dense as lead, but this shell gives steel all the punch it needs to remain effective downrange thanks to its fast 1,500 fps muzzle velocity.

Federal’s extruded plastic hull is fluted for added durability, and with its strong brass head this shell will go on to serve as a valuable reloading component. This shell’s primer is non-corrosive and its propellant burns clean, so you won’t have to worry about rust harming your shotgun or thick residue impacting its performance out in the field.
