Master Class ammunition by Federal Premium, that is. This shell’s two-piece straight-wall hull is packed with its Minnesotan manufacturer’s highest grade of shot. Its lead is heavily alloyed with antimony: a different heavy metal, which hardens the 306 pellets that they may remain more spherical under intense pressure. And what does spherical shot do? It patterns in tighter formation, conserves more velocity, reaches the target faster, and hits the same harder.

High-antimony shot becomes all the more effective when it’s cradled by Federal’s proprietary Podium wad. It features a uniquely shaped midsection which centers around a vertically oriented wheel-shaped junction. Ignition squashes the Podium, which has the welcome effects of mitigating recoil impulse and softening acceleration for the shot. Less jarring propulsion keeps those #7.5 pellets even more spherical – which, as you already know, is good!
