This shell focuses on the final two factors in order to reduce felt recoil. Its single ounce of shot is a little lighter than you’re allowed to fire during a competition, and its muzzle velocity is tamer at 1,180 feet per second.

The AA wad is also designed to mitigate felt recoil. Its center collapeses in on itself during ignition, thus absorbing recoil energy in the process.
