250rds – 12 Gauge Federal Upland Steel 2-3/4" 1-1/8oz. #7.5 Shot Ammo Details
Steel shot is most frequently loaded in waterfowl hunting shells, because those are fired around sensitive wetland environments. But now that more hunters have chosen (or been forced) to abandon toxic lead shot altogether, Federal is making sure they have the ammo they need to bag upland game as well! This 12 Gauge shotshell’s charge of #7.5 shot still weighs the usual at 1-1/8 ounces. But because the shot is made of steel, it cannot poison any critters that eventually decide to eat it. Steel’s great shortcoming is that it is not nearly as dense as lead, which causes it to lose momentum at an accelerated rate. Federal makes up for that drawback by giving this shell a much higher than average 1,400 fps muzzle velocity. That gives steel all the pep it needs to home in on its target and quickly kill it!
Federal is a well-established ammo manufacturer headquartered in Anoka, MN. These American-made nontoxic hunting shells are loaded with tight-patterning wads, sensitive primers, and powder that burns up clean to preserve a shotgun’s full functionality.
