Top Gun is about very fast planes; Top Gun Sporting is all about very fast volleys of shot. Could there be a pattern here? Maybe so. This 12 Gauge shotshell by Federal is optimized for sporting clays with its blistering 1,330 fps muzzle velocity, which lets its shot hit hard and its shooter not have to lead quite so much with their aim.This shell is loaded with one full ounce of #7.5 lead shot. It’s a great shot size for hunting upland game, and accordingly for the sport that so closely simulates what upland game hunting is like. In spite of its low price, this shell’s is premium shot that won’t warp and lose accuracy as it’s subjected to heavy pressure.
This shell’s strong fluted hull and low brass base will make a marvelous foundation for a handloading project once emptied. Federal’s shotgun primer and propellant both burn without leaving a film of corrosive residues in their wake.
