This shotshell is pretty conventional for the most part. It’s charged out with a 1-1/8 ounce payload of #8 shot, which is unarguably effective for all manners of clay-crushing pastimes. Its lead styphnate primer and low-fouling powder charge accelerate the shot column to a velocity of 1,200 fps, which gives it a normal dram equivalent of 3. The shell’s reloadable hull is made of plastic and steel.

What really makes this shell eco-friendly is its inability to fire any plastic out of the muzzle. Its shot column’s filler is made of cellulose, which is the main “ingredient” in wood. Its over-powder gas-sealing wad is made of paper – still able to let loose a reliably tight spread, but bound to disappear pretty quickly when exposed to the elements.
