Estate uses extra hard lead to cast their #8 shot pellets. That makes them naturally resistant to deformation during ignition and penetration, which in turn promotes tighter patterns and deeper wound channels.
This round’s 1-1/4 ounce column of shot is a little heavier than usual. More shot equals even denser patterns! At 1,220 fps this shell’s muzzle velocity isn’t so hot that you should expect to endure heavy recoil, but it’s also going to treat you to a flat trajectory, short lead time and plenty of deadly downrange energy.
