Then BioAmmo has all the answers!This is plastic-free 12 Gauge duck hunting ammo, as each shell features a biopolymer hull and wad. The special material is plenty hard enough to prevent any performance issues, but because it is made out of vegetable based material is is completely compostable. Leave this ammo’s hulls and wads on the ground or in the water, and bacteria, algae and fungi will eventually break them down into harmless salt and carbon dioxide.
This shell is loaded with 1-1/6 ounces of #5 steel shot, a great selection for hunting ducks that you’ve lured in close with the aid of decoys. All 258 or so pellets possess the uniform dimensions and sphericity which tight patterns demand, and their wad promotes an even tighter pattern as it erects fins to ensure clean detachment.
BioAmmo is made in Spain where they implement the metric system. The numbers on this box are 70mm, which equals 2-3/4", and 30 grams which equals 1-1/16 ounces. BioAmmo recorded this shell’s 1,312 fps muzzle velocity 8.2’ from the muzzle. This ammo can be stored under normal climactic conditions for a minimum of five years.
