These 3" shells for 12 gauge shotguns come packed with 1-1/8 oz. of hex-cut #2 birdshot. The hex shape allows for more pellets to be stacked inside the hull and enhances terminal performance on the bird as well. The magnum hull length holds more powder and helps produce a muzzle velocity of 1,675 feet per second--great for longer range shots. This ammo is loaded in the USA and uses special diamond-cut wads for better patterning.-
