I did 1" grouping yesterday at 100 yd with my Savage 10tr. My rifle doesn't really like the rounds.

Recently purchased two cartons of Hirtenberger surplus 7.62.x 51, head stamp dated '80, packaged in 20-rd boxes, sealed in plastic, boxed in a convenient carrier carton. Fired about 60 rds thru a vintage Sig AMT (delayed blowback operating system) and every rd loaded and fired perfectly - no issues. Grouping at 50 yds was about 4", but I suspect that was my issue - not the gun or ammo. In all, this ammo works consistently well in a military semi auto rifle.

Have not shot the ammo yet, but the price and service were excellent.
