This cartridge is going to leave a mark. Its 33 grain bullet is turbocharged to a hotter-than-the-sun muzzle velocity of 1,500 fps, so it’s really pouring a flat trajectory out of a barrel of any length. The copper-plated truncated cone projectile has an inherently accurate semi-conical nose profile, which nicely also promotes smooth chambering and above-average post-impact weight retention. That latter facet of performance facilitates deeper penetration – but quite possibly not a clean pass-through, because the truncated cone’s nose cavity produces fast terminal expansion.
