St. Peter didn’t just drive all the vipers out of Ireland. He must also have visited Antarctica, Australia, Hawaii, and Madagascar, because there are no vipers in those places either.

But there are tons of them inside our warehouse: Remington 22 Viper ammunition, to be more specific, which is good news for us because our entire team dislikes the idea of being bitten by deadly snakes. “Bad for morale” is the general consensus.

Uncoincidentally, this 22 LR cartridge has a pretty deadly bite, too. Its bullet isn’t abnormally light at 36 grains, but its muzzle velocity qualifies as “hyper” regardless. Strong powder lobs that copper-plated projectile across a laser-flat trajectory, and ensures that impact is no small ordeal for a small game animal.

We don’t see the truncated cone bullet make an appearance on the 22 LR all that often. Its semi-conical profile helps the bullet feed reliably into the chamber, and is also very streamlined/accurate. The TC bullet excels at weight retention, which enables it to plunge deeply through flesh as its flat, circular tip punches death through its path.

Great for biting regular, non-game targets, too!
