The ammunition is made in the United States using high-grade components which include clean-burning powder and primer compounds of Winchester's own design.Those elements are housed within a rimmed brass casing that plays host to a 36-grain CPHP (copper plated hollow point) projectile. The bullet's copper skin reduces lead fouling and helps the lead round to resist deformation for more consistent accuracy. Upon impact with a raccoon, possum, or groundhog, the projectile's hollow nose will take on pressure and peel outward to form a flattened shape with a cylindrical base behind it. This expansion transfers greater energy to the vital organs of the game target in order to bring it down efficiently without unnecessary suffering.
