20rds – 8.6 Blackout Fort Scott Munitions 285gr. TUI Ammo Details

Everyone needs 8.6 Blackout ammunition. Most of them just don’t realize it yet. But you? You’re clever. You’ve locked on to the Fort Scott Munitions subsonic hunting and defense ammo, which features the Kansas manufacturer’s revolutionary Tumble Upon Impact (TUI) projectiles!

This ammo’s Solid Copper Spun projectiles are lead-free, clean-shooting, and superbly accurate – not just because they are precision CNC lathed, but also because they weigh 285 grains apiece. That’s way too hefty to achieve supersonic velocity out of a 16” or shorter barrel, which means the bullet won’t pick up a wobble as a result of transitioning to subsonic velocity.

The monolithic TUI is named after its terminal ballistics. Instead of widening out during penetration of soft tissue, the TUI rotates around to rake out a truly ferocious wound channel. In addition to amplifying its stopping power, that reduces the TUI’s chance of passing clean through its target. The TUI is also a great pick for precision target shooting (but for the love of God, do not fire a solid copper projectile at a close-range steel target).
