Some hunters belive the only advantage to lead-free bullets is legal compliance (in certain jurisdictions). Not so! When you recruit the Hornady Copper alloy eXpanding (CX), you also get cleaner performance, cleaner meat, and the kind of deep penetration that can only be achieved by a bullet so tough it cannot shed more than 5% of its weight after impact.

The CX is plenty aerodynamic as well. Its shank is grooved to minimize bearing surface and fouling. Its tail is angled to reduce drag, and its Heat Shield tip bears a special flat meplat which does even more to minimize air resistance. (The latter feature will not distort in response to air friction, which preserves Hornady’s unique Drag Variability Reduction Technology meplat.) Fire it out of a 24” test barrel, and you can trust the 0.455 G1 BC 150 grain CX to discard roughly 53% of its kinetic energy by the time it reaches 500 yards. An impressive feat for its weight!
