Browning 155 Grain Specialty Ammo Details
A big cartridge should have big terminal ballistics – and Browning’s BXC series 7mm Rem Mag cartridge certainly lives up to that standard. This American-made round supplies the power you need to anchor any elk, moose or other deer that wanders this great land of ours! This round’s Terminal Tip projectile’s 115 grain weight, 2,950 fps muzzle velocity and sharp anodized aluminum tip grant it a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.445. It flies flat and reaches 400 yards with just over 1,600 ft lbs of energy, which is all it needs to ethically drop an elk.
The Terminal Tip features a bonded jacket. This is the driving force behind its ability to punch through tough hide and continue to penetrate deeply. Following impact the bullet proceeds to deliver controlled expansion which kills fast and humanely.
Browning loads this premium hunting load with a nickel-plated brass case. Nickel protects against corrosion, and it also makes the round sleeker to promote clockwork feeding and extraction in all rifles.
