This cartridge features Federal’s intriguing new Peak Alloy steel case: a patented, one-piece case which is reloadable in spite of its unconventional composition. It is primed with Federal’s match-grade Gold Medal primer, as well as the powder it needs to launch its 155 grain bullet to a velocity of 3,150 (20” test barrel) or 3,300 fps (24” test barrel).

That bullet can hold its own at any practical range. It is the Terminal Ascent, which achieves a truly impressive 0.300 G7 courtesy of its low-drag boat tail, AccuChannel groove technology, and exclusive Slipstream polymer tip. That same tip enables the Terminal Ascent to expand at lower velocities. And because the Terminal Ascent’s robust copper shank is bonded to its lead core, the bullet has the toughness it needs to remain mostly intact following high-velocity impact.
