This package contains 20 rounds of 7.62x39mm red tracer ammunition. Safe and fun to shoot from your AK-47 (or any other weapon chambered in 7.62x39), these traditional red tracer rounds produce a bright, highly-visible streak of red light. The red trace is vibrant and visible in dark conditions, although it is still easy to see even in broad daylight.
Red tip tracer rounds were originally engineered for military use. The right trace offered a simple method for snipers and other military shooters to visually track the trajectory of their shots. Without seeing where their shots made impact, they could easily adjust their aiming to reach the intended target.
Each round features a special pyrotechnic charge located at the base. This charge ignites to produce a trail of red light when the primer ignites the propellant powders. The trace begins immediately upon exiting the muzzle and continues to trace for up to 400 yards.
Red Tracer ammunition does pose a mild fire hazard. Avoid shooting red tracer rounds into dry brush or other highly combustible materials.
