Made to true Soviet military tracer specifications, these rounds fire safely from any 7.62x25 Tokarev handgun. 7.62×25mm Tokarev cartridges were originally designed for use in the famous Soviet TT-33 pistol. In recent years, 7.62x25 has become a popular caliber in the US due to the number of imported surplus military handguns.These 20 rounds of traditional Soviet green tip tracer ammunition each features a special pyrotechnic charge at the base. When the cartridge primer ignites the propellant, a bright trail of green light is produced. These loads trace right out of the barrel and leave a radiant mark in the bullet's wake for up to 400 yards.
Tracer rounds were first developed for use as a military round. Used as an aid to aiming, tracers illuminate the trajectory of the projectile enabling the shooter to observe where fired rounds are hitting. The bright green trail of these tracer rounds makes them especially useful for night shooting, although the trace is also easily visible even in broad daylight.
Also enjoyable when used as a novelty round, green tracer ammo are simply fun to shoot. They do pose a mild fire hazard, so care should be used to avoid firing into dry brush or other highly combustible materials.
