20rds – 7.62x39 Sterling 123gr. FMJ Ammo
Sterling 123 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details
Load up your AKWith steel-cased ammunition
And save big money
That’s a little Japanese haiku we’ve been working on, and it applies perfectly to this 7.62x39 ammo by Sterling of Turkey. These rounds let you completely avoid paying for brass (which is more expensive than steel because it’s primarily made out of copper instead of iron). Sure, steel cases aren’t reloadable, and they are known to deposit more carbon fouling inside a rifle’s action. But if you don’t handload and don’t mind cleaning your equipment, then the drawbacks to steel cases are pretty much negligible!
This round’s noncorrosive primer and double base powder light up to accelerate its bullet to a velocity of 2,362 fps. The 123 grain full metal jacket projectile isn’t going to expand after plunging through a critter’s hide, which makes it the less preferred solution for hunting (although we’re sure a handy fella like you could use an FMJ to topple a boar no problem). The FMJ’s jacket does contain steel and is going to attract any magnet that’s placed alongside it.
