This cartridge’s 80 grain bullet would be a very bad thing to happen to a varmint. It is the ELD-VT, which foregoes any features that would help it penetrate deeply in the interest of delivering explosive, shrapnel-flinging, varmint-killing terminal performance. Impact drives the ELD-VT’s tip across a long air gap until connecting with the flat surface of the lead core, at which instant – KERBLANGO – dead varmint.
