Winchester originally marketed their Copper Impact line of ammunition under the name Deer Season XP Copper Impact. This 6.8 Western ammo features the same Copper Extreme Point bullet that hunters love whether they are going lead-free or just want definitive accuracy and knockdown terminal performance!This round’s solid copper polymer tipped bullet is quite the ballistically efficient (G1 0.573; G7 0.287) piece of work. Thanks to its uniform weight distribution, huge aerodynamic polymer tip, low-drag boat tail and smooth shank, the 162 grain projectile’s trajectory shouldn’t have to rise by more than about 17.86” before terminating at a 500-yard target. The Copper Extreme Point’s massive tip forces rapid and extremely injurious expansion the instant it connects with the quarry’s hide. A solid copper bullet also penetrates to a reliable depth thanks to its inability to undergo core/jacket separation.
