The 6.5 PRC – for when the 22 LR just won’t cut it. If you’re bringing the serious firepower to the fight against varmints, then Hornady makes just the yote-bopper you’ve been frantically searching for. This V-Match load shoots lightning!

It shoots the Extremely Low Drag - Varmint, to be more exact. The 100 grain polymer-tipped bullet marries multiple accuracy-enhancing components together: peerlessly concentric AMP jacket, rearward-situated lead core, and deformation-immune Heat Shield tip featuring Hornady’s own dispersion-reducing Drag Variability Reduction Technology. Together they grant the ELD-VT a flat-as-a-pan trajectory, with ~69% velocity retention at 500 yards (24” test barrel).

No varmints around? Fire this ammo for its accuracy alone! There are better bullet weights for long distance shooting, but at reasonable distances the ELD-VT is a tack driver.

The ELD-VT doesn’t show all of its cards unless it hits a varmint, though. Impact drives its Heat Shield across a wide air gap and into the flat surface of its lead core. Once the ELD-VT smashes itself to bits, the varmint it’s inside of won’t fare much better.
