Good 6.5 Grendel ammunition is hard to come by. Match accurate 6.5 Grendel ammo is even rarer. That’s why we’re grateful to Barnes of Utah, whose Precision Match label ammo lets 6.5 Grendel fans see what their rifles are really made of!

This cartridge is loaded with a 120 grain Match Burner: Barnes’ proprietary open tip match boat tail bullet, which is commonly fired during Precision Rifle and 3-Gun competitions. The Match Burner features a sleek cannelure-free jacket, which is carefully drawn to virtually flawless concentricity. The Match Burner is not a hunting bullet, as its nose cavity is not there to provide terminal expansion. The OTM BT’s nose cavity indicates that its lead core solidified in place and is accordingly perfectly contoured to its jacket. And thanks to the Match Burner’s boat tail, it is able to minimize drag effectively enough to boast a 0.460 G1 BC – flat trajectory, faster downrange velocities, and enhanced immunity to wind drift!

Precision Match series cartridges quite rightly feature match grade noncorrosive Boxer primers, as well as first-rate brass cases which chamber precisely and make excellent reloading components.
