These .45 ACP frangible rounds were developed by Dynamic Research Technologies. Each round is loaded with a specially designed 150 grain frangible projectile. The uniquely engineered bullet consists of a powdered core encased in a copper jacket. Upon penetration the jacket peels open to disperse the powdered core.
These revolutionary lead-free bullets break apart easily on contact with solid surfaces, disintegrating into a cloud of dust. However, these rounds are highly effective on soft tissue, carving a wound cavity of up to 3” in diameter and transferring 100% of the bullet’s energy into the target, delivering maximum stopping power.

I loved the video reviews on this frangible ammo so I bought a couple boxes and it functions good in my XDs 45 caliber concealed carry handgun. I like the fact it will not ricochet or over penetrate but it goes through thick winter clothing even a car door and performs the same with 3 1/2" into the organic perp target then it fragments creating a 3" wound cavity and the core keeps going 9" to 11." That is great defense capability ammo!!!

Bought this ammo for home protection, houses on my street are very close together and I don't want a pass through. Shot 5 rounds and was shocked at what it did, am also glad I don't have to worry about the neighbors if I ever have to use it for defense. Thanks ATG for solving a big problem.

This is a great round for personal defense. I have watch at least 15 different tests on this round before purchasing it. I bought it for my Springfield XDs .45ACP 3.3" barrel. I figured the lower grain weight would reduce the recoil, which it did. I had no problems with feeding at all. The round is accurate and still maintains a high velocity in a short barrel. This round will penetrate an object and still expand (explode) in soft tissue without over penetration or ricochet. That means a lot to me when I have two children in the house that I have to consider if the rounds ever needed to be fired in the home. Highly recommend for personal defense.
