This 45 ACP round’s 135 grain HoneyBadger bullet takes a different – and many would say better – approach to self-defense. Instead of a hollow point nose cavity, which could jam up with debris and become ineffective, the HoneyBadger meets its target head-on with a tip shaped like a Phillips-head drill bit.

Once the HoneyBadger has torn through fabric or any other common urban barrier, the grooves between its tip’s ridges go to work. These scoop up any soft tissues they encounter and then jet them out in lateral directions – potentially at higher velocities than the bullet itself is traveling. The wound cavitation is massive.

The monolithic HoneyBadger’s solid copper construction makes it more durable than a traditional jacketed bullet. It retains its weight more effectively, thus retaining the momentum it needs to penetrate deeply and ensure its lateral pressurizing grooves function correctly.
