20rds – 35 Whelen Barnes VOR-TX 180gr. TTSX Ammo

Barnes Bullets 180 Grain TTSX Ammo Details

Firing a 35 Whelen rifle should always be a big occasion. That’s why Barnes loads their VOR-TX series ammunition with their state-of-the-art Tipped Triple-Shock X (TTSX). The solid copper polymer tipped bullet excels at delivering massive stopping power over long distances!

This round’s 180 grain TTSX features several accuracy enhancing features. Its polymer tip and smooth profile create very little drag. The Accu-Groove machined into its shank minimizes fouling of the barrel (which is already low because the TTSX contains no lead). Its flat base also gives propellant gasses a uniform surface to press against. This all adds up to a velocity that stays supersonic until 450 yards, as well as at least 1,000 ft lbs energy retention until 494 yards.

The TTSX’s hollow point nose cavity forces the bullet to peel apart into four sharp segments following impact. To make matters worse for the deer or elk, the TTSX’s rugged monolithic construction ensures that it retains enough weight and resultant momentum to penetrate deeply.

Barnes loads this reloadable ammo with first-rate brass cases and expertly paired primers and powder. Made in Utah!
