That’s Hornady’s fine work, with a jacket and core that are doubly locked together to lengthen wound channel depth. The InterLock’s 225 grain weight, sleek secant ogive profile, and 3,000 fps muzzle velocity (26” bbl) all contribute to its 0.404 G1 ballistic coefficient: a trajectory that reaches 200-yard zero with 3,215 ft lbs of energy and then drops -7” at 300 yards. Once the InterLock’s exposed lead tip and grooved, tapered jacket both kick into gear, it’s lights out for mister deer.
