Remington Ammunition 150 Grain Polymer Tipped Ammo Details

“The deadliest mushroom in the woods just got deadlier!” Remington’s Core-Lokt has toppled an inestimable number of bucks and hogs over the past nine decades – but there is always room for improvement, is there not? The company known as “Big Green” certainly thinks so, which is why they updated their beloved Core-Lokt with nothing less than a big green polymer tip!

Does that tip look cool? Yes it does. But it’s not just about aesthetics. That tip completes this 308 Win round’s 150 grain bullet’s fine-tuned jacket and low-drag boat tail to ensure exemplary accuracy out of any hunting rifle. Once Remington’s premium primer and powder have done their job, the Core-Lokt Tipped proceeds to demonstrate what a 0.415 G1 ballistic coefficient can do: an extremely flat trajectory, at least 1,000 ft lbs of kinetic energy on impact until 563 yards, and supersonic velocity until 1,033 yards.

But match accuracy just isn’t enough when you’re gunning for venison or ham. That’s why the Core-Lokt Tipped is engineered for breakneck terminal expansion, which it reliably delivers as its tip forces its dense lead core and contoured copper jacket to fan outward. And because the Core-Lokt Tipped is still a Core-Lokt at heart, its jacket is mechanically bound to its core so it can retain sufficient weight and momentum for chasmic penetration.
