Federal Premium uses sturdy bonding to maximize weight retention and exterior skiving to optimize terminal expansion. These proprietary projectiles also feature a solid copper shank to crush through heavy bone and produce the deepest possible penetration. A high-performance polymer tip enhances accuracy by providing a flatter trajectory.

This factory fresh Federal Premium .300 Win Short Mag ammo is loaded with heavyweight 180 grain bullets. Leaving the muzzle at a velocity of 2960 feet per second, each round delivers 3502 foot pounds of game-dropping muzzle energy.

This non-corrosive ammunition is manufactured with reliable Gold Medal primers, specially formulated propellants with copper-reducing additives, and nickel-plated brass cases for smooth function and easy extraction. Each package contains 20 rounds.

I have been shooting the 300WSM Vital shok ammo for the last 2 season. 2010 I made my longest kill shot yet with one round to the base of the skull of a large cow elk in North Western Colorado. The ballistics were true to specification down to the inch. This shot was ranged at 556 yards, in 2011 i made another head shot on my first Bull Elk in Colorado, much closer at 320 yards. Based on my experience I will never shoot anything other than Federal's Vital Shok
