20rds – 300 Win Mag Federal 175gr. Terminal Ascent Ammo Details

If deer, elk, and other game worthy of the 300 Win Mag were smart enough to understand the concept of “population control,” then they’d be grateful for all your valiant efforts.

You, being much smarter than a deer, may already be familiar with Federal’s long-range Terminal Ascent projectile. It’s outfitted with a super-concentric copper jacket featuring Federal’s AccuChannel groove technology, as well as a Slipstream polymer tip. The middleweight .30 cal bullet’s abilities to retain its momentum and cast aside wind deflection are reflected by its impressive ballistic coefficients: G1 0.520; G7 0.258. It’s reasonable to assume supersonic velocity until around 1,295 yards, so long as your barrel’s the same length as Federal’s 24” test tube.

The Terminal Ascent is advertised as being capable of initiating expansion at impact velocity 200 fps lower than normal. It rips a deep wound channel into the quarry, too, as its jacket is tightly bonded to its core. No worries if you only use such deadly ammo for target shooting, though. Federal’s match-grade Gold Medal primers will make sure you hit wherever you’re aiming!

This ammo’s loaded with nickel-plated brass cases. Nickel’s probably not going to decide the outcome of your hunt, but it adds welcome protection against corrosion. It also smooths out feeding and chambering before the moment of action.
