This 300 Weatherby Mag cartridge by Weatherby Ammunition features a 150 grain Nosler Partition projectile. The bullet has two discrete lead alloy cores in order to promote superior expansion over a wide range of velocities. Upon impact the front core ruptures instantly where it emerges from its tapered copper alloy jacket’s mouth, peeling backward while creating a wide wound channel. The interior partition formed by the jacket keeps the rear core intact, assuring that the bullet retains the majority of its weight as it penetrates deeply. The base of the Nosler Partition also sports special crimp locks to prevent it from deforming under its caliber’s heavy pressure.Its hard-hitting and accurate projectile isn’t the only reason this round is perfect for hunting. Its meticulously formed brass casing will withstand maximum chamber pressures without losing its reloadability, and its primer is sensitive enough to guarantee ignition.
