Hornady Ammunition 178 Grain ELD Ammo Details

This .300 Ruger Compact Magnum ammunition from Hornady is a versatile hunting load suitable for most North American game. Each round in this box of 20 fires a 178 grain Hornady ELD-X polymer-tipped bullet at 2,900 feet per second. The ELD-X (Extremely Low Drag, Expanding) bullet is designed to be lethal to game at any reasonable distance. The polymer tip is made of special heat-resistant material that does not deform at extended range. ELD-X projectiles, like many other Hornady bullets, feature a locking ring that keeps the jacket and core from separating during the expansion process. These features ensure dependable performance in a wide variety of situations and make this ammunition the perfect choice for hunting. Hornady ammo is made in the USA using non-corrosive Boxer primers and brass cases.
