Barnes Bullets 125 Grain Open Tip Match Ammo Details
This 300 AAC Blackout cartridge from Barnes’ Precision Match line of ammunition is crowned with a 125 grain open tip match projectile. While it resembles a hollow point, the OTM is designed for wholly accuracy rather than terminal performance -- the opening in the bullet’s meplat is there to have provided passage for its core while still molten. That along with the bullet’s extremely concentric match jacket will give your shots the rotational stability they need to stay perfectly on course downrange.Barnes further outfitted this round’s bullet with a long boat tail. The sloping base measurably lessens how much turbulence the bullet creates in its wake during flight. That gives it a remarkably high ballistic coefficient, and accordingly the ability to retain superior velocity downrange while exhibiting a flattened trajectory.
Precision Match ammo is developed for elite snipers, but is available to everybody.
