Winchester, the original manufacturer of the .30-30 caliber, has introduced the Super-X Power Core line to be the perfect compliment to your favorite deer and hog rifle. These rounds feature a "95/5" boat-tail hollow-point (BTHP) that consists of 95% copper and 5% zinc. The boat tail rear of the round resists drag while the protected Power Core hollow-point design places a cavity deep in the bullet's top half as opposed to the typical shallow cavity at the tip. This makes for a round that can be safely loaded into the tubular magazine of your lever-action rifle without risk of discharge or damage to the hollow-point. These rounds expand greatly on impact while their solid base retains weight and momentum for a balance in penetration and wide wound cavitation that will drop game more effectively.The lead free nature of the 95/5 projectiles makes them great for hunting without spoiling meat or your own health. Winchester constructs these cartridges using reloadable brass casings fitted with non-corrosive Boxer primers and filled with clean burning powder.
