Deer Season eXtreme Point (XP) rounds were designed with streamlined ballistics and impressive terminal effect in mind. As such, the XP projectile features a large diameter polymer windshield which is tapered into alignment with its contoured copper jacket for top-notch drag resistance. The soft polymer tip makes this round profile safe for use in a tubular magazine and also initiates expansion upon impact with a mule or whitetail deer. During entry into the game animal, the bullet's jacket and alloy lead core are flattened into the plane of the cannelure.
