20rds – 280 Rem Nosler Trophy Grade 140gr. AccuBond Ammo

20rds – 280 Rem Nosler Trophy Grade 140gr. AccuBond Ammo Details

The 280 Rem may not exactly have set the world on fire since its introduction back in the 1950s, but fans of the relatively obscure cartridge don’t have to suffer by hunting with lackluster ammunition. That’s largely thanks to Nosler, who loads an absolute firecracker of a bullet for their Trophy Grade line of ammunition. That’s right – this 280 Rem round has the AccuBond!

This round’s 140 grain AccuBond features a multi-purpose white polymer tip. It resists damage in the magazine during recoil and promotes smoother chambering, so an FTF won’t cost you the buck of a lifetime. The polymer tip’s sleek profile complements the AccuBond’s voidless lead alloy core, supremely aerodynamic and concentric copper alloy jacket, and boat tail to bolster great accuracy.

The AccuBond is no less well equipped to kill its target quickly. The “Bond” part of its name refers to its bonded core and jacket, which Nosler promises eliminates any possibility of core/jacket separation. The deep wound channel produced by the AccuBond becomes even deadlier as its tip and jacket work together to deliver wide terminal expansion. The specially tapered jacket ends in a solid copper alloy base which averts deformation until it can drive more uniform expansion.

Nosler loads a Trophy Grade cartridge with their own select brass case, match grade primer, and proprietary propellant blend. Each round in this box of 20 met an inspector’s exacting quality assurance protocol before Nosler deemed it good enough to leave their factory in Oregon.
