20rds – 280 Rem Barnes VOR-TX 140gr. TTSX BT Ammo

Barnes Bullets 140 Grain TTSX Ammo Details

This 280 Rem cartridge is from Barnes’ VOR-TX line of ammunition. Its 140 grain TTSX BT projectile features a polymer tip which upon impact initiates rapid expansion up to double the bullet’s original diameter. As the bullet mushrooms it extends four very sharp cutting petals, giving it tremendously devastating terminal performance. The effect is a fine solution for efficient and humane hunting.

The sleek TTSX BT has a number of features that improve its accuracy. Its tip streamlines its shape, and the rings cut into its shank work to reduce pressure. Its boat tail design further raises its ballistic coefficient, giving it a flatter trajectory and better ability to resistance to cross winds than a flat based bullet could provide.

The TTSX BT is made entirely of copper, which conveys multiple benefits to its performance. Its monolithic composition means that it can retain up to 100 percent of its weight during penetration, enabling it to create a deep wound channel. It additionally produces exceptionally little bore fouling, and is compliant with California’s ammunition laws.
