Federal invites the biggest names in the bullet world to contribute the key pieces to their Vital-Shok line of ammunition. This 270 Win round features Nosler’s 130 grain Partition projectile, a soft point bullet with a specially engineered wall that divides its core’s rear and front into two distinct sections. The Partition’s tapered jacket has a thin mouth, enabling the front core to begin expanding widely the moment it pierces a quarry’s hide. The rear of the partition is totally encapsulated by jacket, so it remains intact to ensure superior weight retention and provide a basis upon which wide mushrooming can take place. The base of the Partition features crimp locks that guard it against deformation caused by exposure to heavy chamber pressure.Federal wouldn’t do Nosler a disservice by teaming their bullet up with anything but their best supporting components. This round’s finely formed brass casing wears a thin plating of nickel, so it possesses the lubricity requisite for certain feeding and ejection and rain won’t lead it to tarnish. Federal’s propellant burns clean, which in conjunction with their non-corrosive primer will keep your rifle in better condition over the course of a hunt.
