Lead? It’s probably our favorite metal of all time – crucial to our business model, as you might imagine. But we acknowledge that lead isn’t always wanted. And if you’re the one not wanting it, then you’ve just found your perfect 270 Winchester hunting ammunition!

Remington’s Premier CuT cartridge is loaded with a Copper (aka “Cu”) Tipped projectile. Straight facts: the bullet and its primer are both lead-free.

But the CuT bullet’s best feature isn’t something it lacks altogether. It is a vision of accuracy, with precision grooves and a sharp, centered tip to help it slip through the air with very little friction (0.403 G1 BC). It is a deep-penetrating bullet: made of tough metal, and incapable of core/jacket separation, and therefore able to shed no more than 5% of its weight before ending its voyage. Impact wedges the CuT’s tip into its monometal body’s nose cavity, thus catalyzing the brisk, wide expansion that maximizes lethal results on medium game. Hogs. Deer. Plenty of other animals.
