Hornady Ammunition 87 Grain SST Ammo Details

Hornady Custom Lite ammunition is engineered to produce reduced recoil and muzzle blast, making shooting more enjoyable for youth, women, and other recoil sensitive shooters. This package contains 20 rounds of Hornady Custom Lite .243 Winchester ammunition. Each cartridge is topped with an 87 grain SST polymer-tipped projectile. Developed specifically by Hornday, SST (Super Shock Tip) bullets produce tremendous impact shock and massive, reliable expansion in soft tissue, especially at higher velocities. SST bullets feature Hornady’s signature InterLock ring which mechanically clamps the core and jacket together, maintaining integrity and producing maximum weight retention.

The secant ogive design and boattail profile of the SST increase the bearing surface of the bullet for improved aerodynamic performance while also producing less drag and greater stability. The result is a flat shooting, deadly accurate bullet for whitetails and other medium-sized game animals.

This non-corrosive ammunition is boxer primed, reloadable, brass cased, and nonmagnetic. Each round produces a muzzle velocity of 2800 feet per second and 1514 foot pounds of muzzle energy. Each package contains 20 factory fresh cartridges.
